Woodland burials are also known as “natural”, “green”, or “countryside burials”. Whatever the name the principles remain the same. It is a burial ground managed in an ecologically sound manner to create an informal, nature rich site that benefits our environment, as well as being a place of peace and tranquillity where we can remember loved ones.

Burials at Muchwood are available to all religions and cultures, whether you prefer it to be traditional or alternative.We will try to accommodate personal wishes, as long as they conform to our ecological criteria. As time goes by and Muchwood evolves into woodland, graves may become obscured by the grass and wildflowers.To locate the graves we adopted a new micro-chip which is placed in the grave at interment. This way friends and relatives can have peace of mind with the beauty and lasting legacy of their woodland burial, happy in the knowledge that their loved ones final resting place is indelibly marked forever.
