Muchwood
Burial Grounds in Cambridgeshire
Ecology
wooded area
Muchwood is an area of exceptional natural beauty. Some of the trees are already in place, creating a peaceful and natural environment for a variety of wildlife, birds, bees and flowers to flourish. A broadleaf tree will be planted beside each grave, eventually creating a naturally evolving woodland environment, which will help preserve the atmosphere of our planet.

We ask that all coffins, caskets, shrouds and any monuments placed on graves are all bio-degradable. Wicker, recycled cardboard and softwood coffins are all popular choices. Your funeral director will be able to advise you.

Memorial Trees

• Weeping Silver Birch
• Holly
• Acer
• Mountain Ash
• Flowering Crab Apple
• Spindle Tree

Please note that all trees will be planted in the late Autumn following the burial. At Muchwood, we welcome the planting of bulbs on or around the grave, by friends and relatives.
